Analysis on damages & people affected

Damages caused by floods and storms all over the world has significant economic and social effects and such damages are measured over the years.

This analysis project is based on a dataset from UN’s international disaster database. The insights derived are used for education on issues relating to flood and storm damage patterns, and its effects in certain countries and continents.

Data Dashboard

The data dashboard is designed to present descriptive analytics aimed to generate insights on patterns that occur in areas and countries that display consistent after effect damages caused by these disasters.

All types of floods and storms occurred during 2009 – 2019 is presented, with aggregated figures with a breakdown according to type of damage, injury and death, filtered based on all countries and continents.
